Always use safe cleaning products around your home. There are plenty of solutions out there that are both non-toxic as well as natural. Use a bit of initiative and look around the house or garage for items that you may have purchased for other purposes. You will be surprised!

Search around in the kitchen or in your laundry or utility room to find a wide variety of safe cleaning products. For example, citrus, vinegar, washing soda, lemon juice, olive oil, salt, baking soda, cornstarch or borax. This wide variety of products includes no synthetic chemicals.

It’s no secret that you spend a considerable amount of time cleaning up around the home. You should do your bit for the environment by only using safe cleaning products. When it is time for you to get rid of lime deposits in the bathroom, clean your furniture, scrub the oven, work on the carpets, and the myriad other places to grab your attention periodically, make sure that you only use safe products. You could even go one step better and pretreat areas that are vulnerable to spills by installing an absorbent mat to collect the mess before you need to get on your hands and knees.

Regular household cleaners can give off very harmful and noxious gases. The United States Environmental Protection Agency attributes half of indoor pollutants to the use of commercial household cleaners. Some commercial cleaners are also particularly abrasive and can cause further damage to areas, such as the garage floor, whilst attempting to clean up the original spill. In this case, you should place an absorbent mat down first, and avoid having to deal with the spill. The absorbent mat can take up to a gallon of any type of liquid, can be easily cleaned and replaced.

Many commercial cleaners contain harsh chemicals that are really bad for our environment. These ingredients are usually flushed into our waste systems during the cleaning process and they end up polluting our rivers and waterways. In addition, their plastic containers end up in our landfills, as they are not biodegradable. Always consider safe cleaning products first.

When looking for safe cleaning products for everyday use, make sure that you stock up on white vinegar. This is a natural antibacterial and should be diluted with water. For a very small amount of money, white vinegar can clean most of your home. When you are short of laundry detergent, use a little bit of baking soda with some white vinegar and dilute ” you are good to go.

Take the decision to use safe cleaning products exclusively within your home and stock up on natural products. Feel good about the fact that you will never have to buy another commercial cleaner again. At the same time, install some absorbent mats in areas that are vulnerable to spills. These mats will collect liquids and you will not have to clean up any stains.

When you combine the use of natural, safe cleaning products with the introduction of absorbent mats, you will save a great deal of precious time cleaning. Not only that, but you will save a lot of money in the process as well as benefiting the environment.
